YWCA operates shelters, transitional housing, and DV programming in communities across every province and territory. Its national advocacy work pushes for systemic changes to how Canada responds to GBV, including funding for underserved communities. Local YWCAs are often the primary DV service in smaller and mid-size Canadian cities.
