Calgary Counselling - Responsible Choices for Men

Responsible Choices for Men is a 14-week group counselling program at Calgary Counselling Centre for men seeking to understand and change their aggressive or abusive behaviours. The program creates a peer environment where men can connect with others on a similar path toward change, led by a team of both male and female counsellors. Through group exercises, discussion, and practical tasks, participants examine anger and aggression, beliefs and attitudes, power dynamics, and sex roles while building skills in stress management, emotional expression, and conflict resolution. The Centre operates on a sliding-scale fee structure, which removes a major barrier for low-income and racialized men who are often funneled into mandated programming rather than voluntary support.
